Chamber Ambassadors

Ambassador Program Goals

• Establish accountability within the ambassador group.

What is the Ambassador Program?

The Ambassador Program was established by the Board of Directors to further the mission of the Chamber by increasing member retention and participation through mentoring, referrals, personal contact, and communication.

The primary function of an Ambassador is Member Retention and Involvement. The Partner Program was conceived in order to achieve this goal. Each Ambassador is assigned a group of new member partners to mentor for the first two years of their membership with the Chamber. The purpose is to help new members access Chamber services, and generally assist new members in getting connected with the Chamber. This aim will be achieved through the commitment of personal contact and communication.

Ambassador Qualifications
• Highly motivated employee of a Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce member company in good standing.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong marketing and customer service skills.
• Professional demeanor with strong positive attitude.
• Ability to develop a thorough knowledge of programs and services offered by the Chamber.
• Positively represent the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce to local businesses.

Ask yourself...
Do I have time to commit approximately six hours per month to serve as a volunteer for the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce? (Don’t let this scare you – time flies when you’re having fun – and the six hours are spread between monthly meetings, attending Ribbon Cuttings and Business After Hours, and making contacts with Chamber members!).

Would I like to increase my visibility for my company and myself in the region?

Am I able to meet people easily and make them feel welcome and comfortable in an unfamiliar setting?
