The Great American Cleanup, an annual event that provides an opportunity to build on community pride and stewardship in our neighborhoods, is scheduled to occur in the City of Peoria on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Hours will vary, depending on your neighborhood association. Please check with your individual associations.
The Community Development Department, along with Keep Peoria Beautiful, will supply dumpsters and volunteers to assist in the Great American Clean Up. Picking up trash is a simple way to appreciate our neighborhoods and gives us all more reasons to appreciate Peoria. While it is important to maintain clean and healthy neighborhoods year- round, this nationwide cleanup effort is an opportunity for the City to partner with neighborhood associations to make a lasting impact.
To request a dumpster for your neighborhood cleanup, please visit www.appreciatepeoria.com and complete an application. Completed applications should be emailed to Code Enforcement Supervisor Ashley Elias at email@example.com The City of Peoria allocates 20 dumpsters for the Great American Clean Up event and are assigned on a first come, first serve basis. If all dumpsters are allocated, your Neighborhood Association can request a dumpster for an alternative date later in the year.
