    WHAT:           Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Peoria’s Annual Fill the Treasure Chest Community Service Awards
     
    WHEN:           On Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Mt. Hawley Country Club the following individuals were recognized for their outstanding service to Peoria area youngsters.
     
    The 2018 Boys and Girls Clubs award winners include:
     
    Children’s Charities Award Presented by Caterpillar – Mr. Arthur Svymbersky, Government & External Affairs Manager Comcast
     
    Educational Service Award – Mr. Julius Lockhart and Dr. Churphena Reid-Lockhart, Community Volunteer, Pediatric Surgeon OSF Healthcare Children’s Hospital of Illinois
     
    Community Service Award – Mr. Marcus Fair, Mr. John Disharoon, Business Development Managers Caterpillar
     
    United Way It Matters Award – Ms. Sally Snyder, Community Volunteer
     
    Fill The Treasure Chest is in its’ 16th year of awarding those who have served children and believe in the Boys & Girls Clubs mission. Our event is called “Fill The Treasure Chest” as treasure chests are really the minds of young people and we as a community must fill these minds with precious resources and knowledge!
     
    The purpose of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Peoria is to provide a safe and caring place for kids to build a better future. “Great Futures Start Here” The Boys & Girls Clubs is an outcome based 501(c)3 serving over 1,200 Greater Peoria area youngsters 5 – 18 years old.
