    February 08, 2018
The Peoria Public Schools Foundation is holding a Uniform Fundraiser tonight, Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Tavern on Prospect, 5901 North Prospect Road, Peoria, IL 61614 from 5-7 p.m.

Historically, the Peoria Public Schools Foundation has supplied uniforms for students in need. Last year, the Foundation supplied close to a 1,000 uniforms to local students. Due to an increase in requests and a decrease in funding from outside sources, the PPS Foundation is in need of help this year to ensure that it can provide clothing for the many families from all walks of life that our incredible school staff have identified as potential recipients of school uniforms, coats, shoes and underclothing.

The fundraiser is open to anyone and there is no cover charge to attend. Donations to the uniform fund will be accepted during that time. The PPS Foundation will receive a portion of drink sales for the evening. A 50/50 drawing will be held as well as unique raffle items. Any questions about the Uniform Fundraiser or the work of the Peoria Public Schools Foundation, contact Cindy Morris, President at (309) 713.3608, or cindy.morris@psd150.org. The PPS Foundation Offices are located at 5901 N. Prospect Rd. Ste. 14E, Peoria, IL 61614.

The Foundation is an independent, community-based, non-profit organization dedicated to sustaining and extending excellence in Peoria Public Schools. The Foundation raises private dollars and secures grants to support educational initiatives that enhance and supplement public education and positively impact student achievement. The Foundation works closely with the school district to help fulfill its mission but is a separate entity with its own governing Board of Directors. The Foundation is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and donations to it are tax deductible as allowed by law.
