  • Thomas Schlink Joins F&M Bank as Peoria Market President

    Doug Sanders, President and CEO of F&M Bank is pleased to announce that Thomas Schlink has been hired as Peoria Market President.  In this capacity, Tom will report to Doug Sanders and will be responsible for all banking activities of the Peoria marketplace with a special focus on managing all commercial activities including: supervision of lenders, guiding all new commercial business development efforts and actively calling on loan prospects and existing clients.  Tom will be replacing Jan Kepple who has announced her retirement as of March 31, 2018. 
    Tom is a lifelong Peoria resident and brings over 28 years of banking experience to F&M Bank, 20 of which have involved commercial lending.  Tom started his career in 1989 with Dunlap State Bank in Dunlap, IL as a Teller/Management Trainee.  In 1992, He joined JP Morgan Chase (formerly Bank One) in Peoria as a Commercial Credit Analyst.  He advanced his career in 1995 when he joined PNC Bank as Vice President, Commercial Loan Review, where he was subsequently promoted to Vice President Commercial Lending in 1998.  Tom left PNC to accept a position as Senior Vice President/Market Manager for Hickory Point Bank & Trust in Peoria in 2015.
    “Tom brings strong commercial lending experience as well as managerial experience to F&M Bank and we are very fortunate to have someone of his caliber join the F&M team,” Sanders said.  “Tom’s extensive background will complement our solid lending team to continue to provide high quality, integrated financial services and products to the communities we serve.”
    Tom’s community involvement includes board memberships with the Heart of Illinois Harvest and Heart of Illinois United Way (including both as a board member and a member of the finance committee).  He is also a member of the Rotary Club.  Tom was the recipient of the Peoria Area “40 Leaders Under 40” award and is a graduate of the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership School.  Tom has also served as a member of the Knights of Columbus Spalding Council as Grand Knight and is an Eagle Scout with Boy Scouts of America.
    Tom resides in Peoria with his wife, Deirdre, 2 year old daughter, Roisin (Rosie), and three dogs.  He also has two grown daughters, Annie and Sarah.
