Voting 101

The Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce encourages you and our community to vote this election and let your voice be heard. Follow the steps below to learn all your options for voting, and check out the Chamber's voting resources page for more information.

Make sure you register. Registering to vote is required to cast a ballot, but it can be as easy as going online. Click below to register for the first time, update your registration or double-check that you are already registered.

Consider the Candidates

Now that you're registered, you can view a sample ballot here. If you would like to learn more about certain candidates, you can search for candidates on social media, in the news, or on their website to read about their platform and positions.

Cast Your Ballot

Now you can cast your ballot. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, choose the method of voting that you feel most comfortable with.

Mail In or Drop Off

Voting from your couch is possible as you can apply for a mail-in ballot. Then you have the choice to mail your ballot in or drop it off at one of several locations around the county (including new ballot drop boxes and drive & drop events).

If you enjoy the experience of heading to the polls, you can vote at your designated polling place on Election Day or vote early at one of several early voting locations.
